In a thrilling Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season, the Seattle Seahawks topped the New England Patriots with a final score of 41-27. Both teams were eager to set the tone for the new season, but it was Seattle's explosive offense that ultimately secured the win. Jalen Milroe guided the Seahawks with precision, amassing 259 passing yards and contributing significantly to the team's scoring efforts. Meanwhile, the Patriots relied heavily on Drake Maye, who threw two touchdown passes, but it was TreVeyon Henderson's powerful running game with 108 rushing yards that kept New England competitive. Additionally, Kyle Williams emerged as a reliable target, racking up 98 receiving yards in the loss. Defensively, Seattle's impact was felt through key plays, particularly from Drake Thomas, who recorded six total tackles to lead the unit. The game's turning point came when Nick Emmanwori intercepted a pass, halting a Patriots drive and allowing the Seahawks to extend their lead. While Milton Williams managed to secure a sack for New England, it wasn't enough to shift the momentum back in their favor as Seattle's defense held strong down the stretch.
