In a thrilling Week 16 clash, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the Dallas Cowboys, with a final score of 34-31, solidifying their playoff aspirations. Both teams fought hard, but the Jaguars' offensive prowess ultimately proved too much for the Cowboys to handle in a high-stakes showdown. Jacksonville's David Garrard was the standout performer, throwing for an impressive 336 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Derrick Henry also contributed significantly on the ground with 80 rushing yards, adding balance to the Jaguars' attack. On the other side, Micheal Irvin was a bright spot for the Cowboys, racking up 104 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure a victory. Defensively, the Jaguars made crucial plays that impacted the game's outcome. Jalyx Hunt's dominant performance included 1.5 sacks, putting pressure on the Cowboys' quarterback and disrupting their rhythm. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when the Jaguars' defense held strong, allowing only a field goal in the closing minutes, sealing the victory and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
