In a commanding performance, the Albuquerque Armadillos topped the Brooklyn Shamrocks 34-17 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. With this victory, Albuquerque establishes a strong foothold early in the season, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their position in the league standings. Taylen Green led the offensive charge for the Armadillos, throwing for 327 yards and two touchdowns, displaying pinpoint accuracy and strong decision-making throughout the game. He was well-supported by Josh Jacobs, who rushed for 101 yards, and Puka Nacua, who racked up 114 receiving yards, creating a balanced attack that kept the Shamrocks' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Armadillos were relentless, with Patrick Willis recording a team-high eight tackles, ensuring that Brooklyn struggled to establish any momentum. The game’s turning point came late in the second quarter when Albuquerque forced a critical turnover that led to a quick touchdown, effectively swinging the momentum and allowing them to control the game for the remainder. While Payton Wilson of the Shamrocks had a notable performance with 1.5 sacks, it wasn’t enough to shift the tide against a dominant Armadillos squad.
