In a stunning defensive showdown, the San Francisco 49ers narrowly defeated the Dallas Cowboys 2-0 in Week 10 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for crucial playoff positioning, the stakes were high, but ultimately, it was the 49ers who emerged victorious in a game that will be remembered for its unusual scoreline. Dallas quarterback Jayden Daniels had a standout performance, throwing for 347 yards and four touchdowns, but his efforts were overshadowed by a lack of scoring as the Cowboys struggled to convert opportunities into points. Meanwhile, Taylen Green led the 49ers in a sluggish ground game with just 28 rushing yards, highlighting the defensive prowess on both sides of the ball. It was Brock Bowers who shone in the receiving department for Dallas, racking up 170 receiving yards but ultimately unable to find the end zone. Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, with Cam Lewis leading the team with three total tackles, while Tyrel Dodson contributed with a sack and Lorenzo Styles Jr. snagged an interception. However, the game’s turning point came when the 49ers' defense held firm in the red zone, stifling the Cowboys’ attempts to score despite their offensive yardage dominance. The 49ers' ability to capitalize on defensive stands proved pivotal, securing a hard-fought win in this unique battle.
