In a high-scoring showdown, the Minnesota Vikings triumphed over the Salt Lake City Bills with a final score of 47-26, securing a crucial victory in Week 9 of the 2026 season. The Vikings’ dominance was evident as they sought to solidify their playoff positioning against a Bills team eager to keep their momentum going. Trevor Lawrence led the Vikings’ offense with a stellar performance, throwing for four touchdowns while orchestrating an efficient passing game. Trey Benson’s explosive running was a game-changer, racking up 175 rushing yards and consistently breaking through the Bills' defensive line. On the other side, Dak Prescott kept the Bills competitive with 325 passing yards and a strong aerial attack, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Minnesota’s offensive firepower. Defensively, the Vikings made critical stops, highlighted by Christian Gonzalez's two interceptions, which turned the tide in favor of Minnesota. The turning point came in the second quarter when Gonzalez's pick set up another quick touchdown, propelling the Vikings to a commanding lead. Despite a valiant effort from Brandon Stephens, who led the Bills with four tackles, Salt Lake City struggled to contain Minnesota’s balanced offensive assault, ultimately sealing their fate.
