In a decisive victory, the Tokyo Dragons topped the Denver Broncos 28-3 in Week 9 of the 2026 season, further solidifying their position as a formidable contender. With playoff implications on the line, the Dragons showcased their dominance in all facets of the game, leaving the Broncos struggling to keep pace. Tokyo's Cam Newton was a standout performer, throwing for 155 yards and three touchdowns, effectively leading his team’s offensive charge. Jeremiyah Love complemented Newton's performance with a strong rushing game, amassing 98 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, Dawson Knox of the Broncos put up impressive numbers with 130 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Dragons made their mark with a relentless performance, highlighted by Julius Peppers, who recorded two sacks, and Chris Johnson, who picked off two passes. The turning point came in the second quarter when Johnson's first interception shifted momentum firmly in favor of Tokyo, allowing them to capitalize and extend their lead. Overall, the Dragons’ defense stifled the Broncos' offense, ensuring a comfortable win.
