In a tightly contested matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the Canton Condors 25-20 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but the Chiefs ultimately held off the Condors to secure the victory at home. Canton’s Anthony Richardson Sr showcased his passing prowess, throwing for 283 yards, while Sam LaPorta turned in a standout performance with 110 receiving yards. De'Von Achane contributed on the ground, adding 49 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Chiefs' defense, which made critical stops throughout the game. Defensively, the Chiefs were led by TY Law, who recorded 10 total tackles, providing a steady presence on the field. Jared Verse was instrumental in pressuring Richardson, finishing with 2.5 sacks, while Cooper DeJean's two interceptions proved pivotal, helping to swing momentum in favor of Kansas City. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when DeJean picked off a pass, stifling a potential game-winning drive by the Condors and sealing the victory for the Chiefs.
