In a crucial Week 8 matchup, the Houston River Hogs topped the Tennessee Titans 24-13, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The victory was vital for the River Hogs, who are looking to maintain momentum as the season progresses. Justin Fields led the charge for Houston, throwing for two touchdowns and helping propel his team to victory. Quentin Johnston also shined in the receiving game, racking up 90 yards and providing key plays when it mattered most. Meanwhile, Jordan Love put up impressive numbers for Tennessee, finishing with 268 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the River Hogs' offensive prowess. Defensively, the River Hogs made their mark with Jason Taylor's two sacks, which disrupted the Titans' rhythm and stunted their offensive drives. The turning point came in the second half when Taylor's relentless pressure led to a crucial turnover, allowing Houston to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win. Despite Cole Sullivan's ten tackles for Tennessee, it was the River Hogs' defensive stand that proved decisive in this matchup.
