In a commanding performance, the Memphis Steamers topped the Los Angeles Rams 50-21 in Week 9 of the 2027 season. This victory not only solidifies the Steamers' position in the playoff race but also sends a clear message about their offensive prowess. Jalen Milroe was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for 373 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his elite arm strength and accuracy throughout the game. Eli Stowers was his favorite target, racking up an impressive 176 receiving yards, consistently finding ways to break away from defenders and make big plays. Meanwhile, Todd Gurley led the Rams' rushing attack with 67 yards, but the Memphis offense was simply too explosive to keep up with. Defensively, the Steamers made their presence felt, particularly with Milton Williams recording 1.5 sacks and Troy Andersen snagging an interception, disrupting the Rams' rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Memphis scored two quick touchdowns, stretching their lead and putting the Rams on their heels. With Camryn Bynum leading the charge with three total tackles, Memphis' defense effectively contained Los Angeles, ensuring that the game never slipped from their grip.
