In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the New Orleans Saints topped the Las Vegas Raiders 28-20, solidifying their position in the early season standings. The stakes were high as both teams sought to establish momentum, but it was the Saints who emerged victorious in front of their home crowd. Sam Darnold led the charge for New Orleans, throwing for three touchdowns and showcasing his ability to deliver in critical moments. TreVeyon Henderson was a force on the ground, racking up 118 rushing yards, while Ja'Marr Chase contributed significantly with 107 receiving yards, helping to keep the chains moving and the scoreboard ticking. Defensively, the Raiders struggled to contain the Saints' offensive firepower, but Nnamdi Asomugha's five tackles highlighted a determined effort. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Darnold connected with Chase for a crucial touchdown, putting the Saints ahead for good and leaving the Raiders to play catch-up. Despite a strong performance from Josh Allen, who threw for 300 yards, Las Vegas couldn't overcome the Saints' late surge.
