The Minnesota Vikings cruised to a convincing 38-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 5 of the 2026 season. This win solidifies their position as a force to be reckoned with as they continue to build momentum. The Saints, on the other hand, struggled to keep pace and will need to regroup in the coming weeks to stay competitive. Leading the charge for the Vikings was quarterback Kyler Murray, who threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns, efficiently orchestrating the offense. Jordan Mason also made his mark on the ground, racking up an impressive 115 rushing yards. Justin Jefferson contributed significantly through the air, tallying 100 receiving yards, showcasing the depth and balance of Minnesota's offensive unit. Defensively, the Vikings did their part to stifle the Saints' efforts, with Eric Wilson adding a crucial sack that contributed to New Orleans' offensive struggles. Despite Pete Werner's interception for the Saints, it was not enough to turn the tide. The turning point came when Minnesota's defense consistently pressured the Saints, limiting their scoring opportunities and paving the way for a comfortable victory.
