In a crucial Week 12 matchup, the Houston Texans topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 30-20, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Texans showcased their offensive prowess, while the 49ers struggled to keep pace, making this an important win for Houston as they look to secure postseason contention. Dak Prescott led the way for the Texans with an impressive performance, throwing for 288 yards and two touchdowns. Rico Dowdle added to the offensive onslaught with 93 rushing yards, consistently finding gaps in the 49ers’ defense. Meanwhile, Josh Downs was the standout receiver for San Francisco, racking up 133 yards but ultimately unable to convert those gains into points efficiently. Defensively, the 49ers were unable to contain the Texans’ dynamic offense, despite Jack Campbell leading the team with seven total tackles. The game's turning point came when Houston's defense held San Francisco scoreless in the second half, allowing Prescott and Dowdle to build an insurmountable lead. With key stops and pressure from the Texans’ defensive unit, they managed to thwart the 49ers’ attempts to rally back, sealing the victory.
