The Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders 23-17 in a tightly contested Week 3 matchup of the 2026 Madden franchise season. Both teams entered the game with something to prove, but it was Seattle who held their nerve in the closing moments to secure the win. With this victory, the Seahawks continue to build momentum early in the season. Offensively, the Seahawks were led by quarterback Sam Darnold, who threw for two crucial touchdowns, providing the edge needed to overcome Washington's defense. On the ground, Zach Charbonnet was the workhorse for Seattle, rushing for 108 yards and consistently moving the chains. On the opposite side, Washington's Jayden Daniels led the aerial attack with 264 passing yards, finding his favorite target, Terry McLaurin, who racked up 137 receiving yards but fell just short of translating those yards into a victory. Defensively, Seattle made key plays to stifle Washington's comeback efforts. Tre'Davious White anchored the Seahawks' defense with a team-high eight tackles, while Nick Emmanwori's timely interception helped turn the tide in Seattle's favor. Washington's Joshua Josephs contributed with 1.5 sacks, but it wasn't enough to change the momentum. The game's turning point came in the fourth quarter when Emmanwori's interception halted Washington's drive, allowing Seattle to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the win.
