The Cleveland Browns defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-10 in a decisive Week 2 matchup of the 2026 Madden franchise season. Cleveland managed to control the game from start to finish, leaving Tampa Bay searching for answers on both sides of the ball. This victory sets the Browns on a promising early path in the season, while the Buccaneers will need to regroup quickly. Offensively, the Browns capitalized on key moments, with quarterback Shedeur Sanders leading the charge by throwing one passing touchdown. Although Baker Mayfield of the Buccaneers led all passers with 290 yards through the air, his efforts were not enough to overcome the deficit. Bucky Irving's modest 53 rushing yards and Chris Godwin Jr.'s impressive 161 receiving yards highlighted Tampa Bay’s offensive effort, though ultimately these performances fell short. Defensively, the Browns' Ronnie Hickman anchored the unit with eight total tackles, playing a critical role in stifling the Buccaneers' offense. For Tampa Bay, Yaya Diaby managed to record 1.5 sacks, while Antoine Winfield Jr. added an interception, but their efforts weren't enough to turn the tide. The game's turning point came when the Browns' defense held strong against a late Buccaneers' drive, maintaining their lead and sealing the game.
