In a thrilling Wildcard Round matchup, the Houston Texans narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, 31-28, to advance in the playoffs. The stakes were high as both teams battled for a chance to keep their Super Bowl hopes alive, but it was the Texans who emerged victorious on their home turf. Dak Prescott led the charge for Houston, throwing for 308 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make big plays under pressure. The ground game was equally impressive, with Rico Dowdle racking up 130 rushing yards to keep the Chargers' defense off balance. Wan'Dale Robinson was a standout in the receiving corps, accumulating 151 yards and proving to be Prescott's go-to target throughout the game. On the defensive side, the Texans were able to apply just enough pressure to disrupt the Chargers' rhythm, with George Karlaftis contributing half a sack. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter, when the Texans' defense held firm on a crucial fourth down, allowing them to maintain their lead and secure the win. Roquan Smith led the Chargers' defense with 12 tackles, but it wasn't enough to stop Houston's offensive momentum when it mattered most.
