In a commanding performance, the Atlanta Falcons topped the Chicago Bears 44-6 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. This decisive victory not only boosts Atlanta's confidence but also places them firmly in the early playoff conversation, while the Bears will need to regroup after a disappointing showing. Michael Penix Jr. led the charge for the Falcons, throwing for three touchdowns and establishing himself as a key playmaker. Bijan Robinson added to the offensive firepower with 95 rushing yards, while Drake London was a reliable target, racking up 84 receiving yards. Caleb Williams put forth a valiant effort for Chicago, passing for 216 yards, but the Bears struggled to convert those yards into points. Defensively, Atlanta's unit was relentless, with Divine Deablo leading the way with seven tackles, and Matt Milano contributing with a sack. The Falcons' defense established dominance early, forcing the Bears into difficult situations and limiting their scoring opportunities. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when a crucial interception by Kyler Gordon was nullified by a penalty, allowing Atlanta to extend their lead and effectively seal the game.
