The Minnesota Vikings topped the Arizona Cardinals with a decisive 38-17 victory in Week 2 of the 2027 season. This win solidifies Minnesota's early dominance, while the Cardinals are still searching for their rhythm as they look to bounce back in the coming weeks. Vikings running back Jordan Mason was a standout performer, rushing for 104 yards and playing a pivotal role in controlling the game's tempo. Quarterback Kirk Cousins also made an impact, connecting with tight end T.J. Hockenson for 85 receiving yards, showcasing the effectiveness of Minnesota's aerial attack. Despite a strong performance from Arizona's Steven Perine, who threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns, it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Vikings' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Vikings stepped up when it mattered most, with Dee Winters recording a key sack that halted a promising Cardinals drive in the second quarter. Arizona's defense struggled to contain Minnesota's balanced offensive attack, allowing the Vikings to build a comfortable lead. The game's turning point came late in the first half when Minnesota scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach for Arizona.
