The New Orleans Saints topped the Dallas Cowboys 17-10 in a tightly contested Week 4 matchup of the 2027 season. With both teams vying for a stronger position in the standings, the stakes were high as each sought to build momentum heading into the latter part of the season. Saints quarterback Tyler Shough was the offensive standout, throwing for 261 yards and leading his team to a crucial victory. The ground game was less impactful, but the Saints effectively managed the clock, allowing them to maintain control of the game. Meanwhile, Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb shined with 96 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to stretch the field despite the loss. Defensively, the Saints made key plays to secure the win, highlighted by Justin Reid's critical interception that shifted momentum in the second half. The Cowboys' defense, led by Jaishawn Barham's eight tackles and Malachi Lawrence's 1.5 sacks, kept the game close but ultimately could not contain the Saints' offense when it mattered most. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Reid's interception thwarted a promising Dallas drive, sealing the victory for New Orleans.
