In a hard-fought battle in Week 5 of the 2027 season, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Los Angeles Chargers with a final score of 31-23. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to solidify their playoff positions, but it was the Chiefs who emerged victorious on the road. Quarterback Justin Herbert showcased his skills for the Chargers, throwing for 259 yards and three touchdowns, but it was the rushing attack from Kenneth Walker that helped the Chiefs secure the win with his 71 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, Ladd McConkey led all receivers with 94 yards, keeping the Chargers in contention throughout the game. Defensively, the Chiefs made crucial plays that turned the tide, highlighted by Kwity Paye's 1.5 sacks and Paulson Adebo's critical interception. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Adebo's interception halted a potential game-tying drive from the Chargers, allowing the Chiefs to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory.
