In a thrilling Week 12 showdown, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 37-34, solidifying their place in the playoff race. Both teams entered the game with something to prove, but it was the Seahawks who emerged victorious in a tightly contested battle. Sam Darnold led the way for Seattle, throwing for 296 yards and complementing his performance with a solid ground game from Zach Charbonnet, who rushed for 104 yards. Meanwhile, Brock Purdy showcased his skills for the 49ers, tossing four touchdown passes, yet it wasn't enough to secure the win. De'Zhaun Stribling also shined for San Francisco, racking up an impressive 143 receiving yards. Defensively, the Seahawks were bolstered by Leonard Williams, who recorded 1.5 sacks, applying pressure on Purdy throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Seattle's defense forced a crucial turnover, allowing the offense to capitalize and maintain the lead. Fred Warner's ten tackles for the 49ers highlighted their effort, but it was Seattle's timely defensive plays that ultimately determined the outcome.
