In a dominant performance to kick off the 2027 season, the Los Angeles Rams topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a commanding 31-0 victory. This Week 1 matchup showcased the Rams' powerful offense and stifling defense, setting the tone for their campaign as they aim for a strong playoff push. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was the star of the show, throwing for 225 yards and two touchdowns, leading an efficient aerial assault. Running back Kyren Williams added a stellar ground game with 121 rushing yards, while wide receiver Puka Nacua emerged as a favorite target, racking up 102 receiving yards. The Rams' offensive cohesion proved too much for the Jaguars to handle throughout the contest. Defensively, the Rams were relentless, with Nate Landman contributing a sack and Trent McDuffie securing an interception, further stifling any hopes of a Jaguars comeback. The game's turning point came early in the third quarter when McDuffie's interception allowed the Rams to extend their lead, effectively sealing the fate of Jacksonville. The Jaguars struggled to find any rhythm, and Los Angeles capitalized at every opportunity.
