In a closely contested matchup, the Buffalo Bills topped the New York Giants 27-20 in Week 8 of the 2027 season, maintaining their momentum as they push for playoff positioning. The game was critical for both teams, with the Bills looking to solidify their dominance in the AFC and the Giants seeking a much-needed victory to stay in the playoff hunt. Josh Allen was the standout performer for Buffalo, throwing for 253 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense effectively. He connected with Joe Nava, who was a key target, racking up 114 receiving yards and making several crucial catches throughout the game. Despite a solid performance from the Giants' LaDainian Tomlinson, who led his team with 55 rushing yards, it was Allen's air attack that made the difference. Defensively, the Bills managed to disrupt the Giants' rhythm, with Greg Rousseau contributing with half a sack, although no player on the Giants' defense stood out in terms of sacks. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Bills' defense stiffened, forcing a critical turnover on downs that allowed them to seal the game. Deonte Banks led the Giants with nine total tackles, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide against Buffalo's relentless offense.
