In a high-scoring Week 5 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 52-31. This victory solidifies the Seahawks' position as a formidable contender in the league, showcasing their offensive firepower against a rival squad that has been struggling to find consistency. Jalen Milroe was the star of the night, throwing for five touchdown passes and leading the Seahawks' explosive offense. Brock Purdy also had a standout performance for the 49ers, racking up 341 passing yards and adding 45 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Seattle's relentless scoring. Terry McLaurin contributed significantly for San Francisco, finishing with 119 receiving yards, but the day belonged to the Seahawks. Seattle's defense played a crucial role, with Derick Hall dominating the pass rush, recording an impressive 3.5 sacks. The turning point came in the second quarter when Hall's relentless pressure on Purdy forced a critical interception by Nick Emmanwori, swinging momentum firmly in Seattle's favor. With Drake Thomas leading the team in tackles, the Seahawks' defensive unit effectively stifled any comeback attempts from the 49ers, sealing the game with a commanding performance.
