In a thrilling Week 4 matchup, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders with a final score of 31-28. The stakes were high, as both teams aimed to solidify their positions early in the season, but it was the Colts who emerged victorious in a tightly contested battle. Offensively, Jayden Daniels had a standout performance for the Commanders, throwing for an impressive 335 yards and four touchdowns. However, it was Jonathan Taylor's ground game that made the difference for the Colts, as he rushed for 127 yards, consistently moving the chains and keeping the Colts in control. Stefon Diggs also shone for Washington, racking up 151 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Colts' offensive efficiency. Defensively, the game turned on a crucial play when JT Tuimoloau recorded 1.5 sacks, applying pressure that disrupted Washington's rhythm. While Daron Payne led the Commanders with nine total tackles, the Colts' ability to make key defensive stops late in the game ultimately sealed their victory. Indianapolis capitalized on their opportunities, holding off a late surge from Washington to secure the win.
