In an impressive season opener, the Denver Broncos toppled the Kansas City Chiefs 31-13, showcasing a powerful offensive performance that sets the tone for the rest of the 2026 season. The stakes were high, as both teams aimed to kick off their campaigns with a strong showing, but it was the Broncos who emerged victorious, proving their readiness for the challenges ahead. Bo Nix led the Broncos' offense with a standout performance, throwing for 261 yards and two touchdowns. J.K. Dobbins complemented Nix's efforts on the ground, rushing for 80 yards, while the Broncos' passing game found success throughout the contest. Although the Chiefs' Xavier Worthy made a mark with 110 receiving yards, it wasn't enough to keep pace with Denver's dynamic attack. Defensively, the Broncos made key plays to shift the momentum, highlighted by Ja'Quan McMillian's interception that halted a promising Chiefs drive. While L'Jarius Sneed recorded eight tackles for Kansas City, the Broncos' ability to pressure the quarterback was evident, limiting the Chiefs' scoring opportunities. The game turned decisively in the second quarter, as Denver's defense stepped up and capitalized on critical mistakes, paving the way for their commanding victory.
