In a pivotal Week 17 matchup, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Philadelphia Eagles with a final score of 28-14, securing their playoff positioning as the regular season draws to a close. Both teams entered the contest with high stakes, knowing a win would bolster their chances of postseason success. Brock Purdy showcased his elite form, throwing for 253 yards and four touchdowns, leading the 49ers' offensive attack. He found Mike Evans frequently, who racked up an impressive 150 receiving yards, proving to be a reliable target throughout the game. Meanwhile, the Eagles’ Tank Bigsby shined on the ground, accumulating 144 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the 49ers' offensive firepower. Defensively, the 49ers made critical plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Ashtyn Davis' interception proved to be a game-changer, halting a potential Eagles scoring drive and maintaining the 49ers' lead. The Eagles' defense, led by Quinyon Mitchell's three tackles and Abdul Carter's sack, struggled to contain the 49ers' dynamic passing game, ultimately allowing San Francisco to control the tempo and secure the victory.
