In a commanding performance, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Los Angeles Chargers 27-7 in Week 15 of the 2026 season. This victory not only solidifies the 49ers' playoff aspirations but also showcases their dominance in the league as they continue to build momentum heading into the postseason. Brock Purdy was the standout performer for San Francisco, throwing for 256 yards and four touchdowns. His connection with George Kittle was particularly lethal, as Kittle racked up 104 receiving yards, proving to be a reliable target throughout the game. The 49ers' offense operated efficiently, demonstrating a balanced attack that kept the Chargers' defense on its heels. Defensively, the 49ers were a force to be reckoned with, led by Osa Odighizuwa, who recorded two sacks and two total tackles. The turning point came early in the second half when Odighizuwa's pressure led to an interception by Nate Hobbs, shifting momentum firmly in favor of San Francisco. The Chargers struggled to find their rhythm, largely due to the relentless pressure and coverage provided by the 49ers' defense.
