The Cincinnati Bengals secured a solid victory against the Atlanta Falcons, finishing the game with a score of 23-13. This Week 9 matchup was crucial for both teams as they vie for playoff positioning in the tight race of the 2026 season. The Bengals' win keeps their momentum going, while the Falcons will need to regroup after a tough outing at home. Joe Burrow led the Bengals’ offense efficiently, racking up 263 passing yards and guiding the team to two touchdowns through the air. Samaje Perine complemented the passing game with a strong performance on the ground, amassing 75 rushing yards, while Ja'Marr Chase emerged as a standout receiver, hauling in 154 yards. Despite Trey Lance’s lone touchdown for Atlanta, the Falcons struggled to find their rhythm offensively. Defensively, the Bengals were impactful, with Dexter Lawrence II making a mark by recording 1.5 sacks, pressuring the Falcons' quarterback throughout the game. The turning point came late in the second quarter when the Bengals' defense stifled a potential Atlanta scoring drive, forcing a critical turnover that shifted momentum firmly in Cincinnati’s favor. With Jessie Bates III leading the Falcons with seven tackles and an interception, it was not enough to spark a comeback as the Bengals held off any late-game surge.
