In a commanding performance, the Green Bay Packers topped the Detroit Lions 42-20 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. The win solidifies the Packers' position in the playoff race, showcasing their potent offense and strategic defense against a division rival. Quarterback Jordan Love had a stellar outing, throwing for 449 yards and six touchdowns, leading the charge for Green Bay. Wide receiver Matthew Golden was his favorite target, racking up 147 receiving yards and finding the end zone multiple times. Jahmyr Gibbs of the Lions managed to contribute on the ground with 84 rushing yards, but the Packers' offensive firepower proved too much to handle. Defensively, the Packers made their mark with Jarrick Bernard-Converse's remarkable three interceptions, turning the tide in critical moments. The Lions' best defensive player, Jarrian Jones, recorded three tackles and a sack, but ultimately it was the Packers' ability to capitalize on turnovers that sealed the victory. The turning point came in the second quarter when Bernard-Converse's interception led to a quick touchdown, giving Green Bay an insurmountable lead.
