In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 49-21, showcasing their offensive prowess in Week 4 of the 2026 season. This victory not only solidifies the Lions' position in the playoff race but also serves as a statement win on the road against a division rival. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for 261 yards and connecting on four touchdown passes, while Jahmyr Gibbs added a strong ground game with 86 rushing yards. Omari Evans emerged as Goff's top target, racking up 113 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the Lions' offensive explosion. Together, they propelled the Lions to a dominant lead that the Panthers struggled to overcome. Defensively, the Lions were equally impressive, with key contributions from Deantre Prince, who recorded four total tackles, and Alim McNeill, who registered a sack. Jack Campbell's interception highlighted the Lions' ability to create turnovers, which proved crucial in stifling any momentum the Panthers hoped to build. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Lions scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach for Carolina.
