In a tightly contested matchup, the Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly defeated the New England Patriots 13-10 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to gain momentum early in the year, the stakes were high, making this victory crucial for the Steelers as they aim to establish themselves in the playoff race. Offensively, it was Joe Milton leading the charge for the Patriots, throwing for 199 yards and a touchdown. However, it was Jaylen Warren of the Steelers who stood out on the ground, racking up 77 rushing yards to help keep the chains moving. DJ Moore also made his presence felt for New England, accumulating 92 receiving yards, but it was not enough to clinch the win. Defensively, the Steelers made their mark with a relentless effort, highlighted by Cam Heyward’s two sacks that consistently pressured Milton. The turning point came late in the game when a crucial interception by Craig Woodson gave the Patriots a glimmer of hope, but ultimately, it was the Steelers' defense that held firm, securing the win. With both teams showcasing strong defensive performances, it was Pittsburgh’s ability to make key stops that ultimately decided the outcome.
