In a commanding performance, the Washington Commanders topped the Houston Texans 41-7 in Week 14 of the 2026 season. With playoff positioning on the line, the Commanders demonstrated their dominance both offensively and defensively, solidifying their status as a formidable contender. Jayden Daniels was the star of the show for Washington, throwing for four touchdown passes and showcasing his ability to efficiently move the ball downfield. Meanwhile, Jacory Croskey-Merritt contributed with 58 rushing yards, providing balance to the Commanders' attack. C.J. Stroud led the Texans with 195 passing yards, but struggled to convert those yards into points against a relentless defense. Defensively, the Commanders were a force to be reckoned with, highlighted by Nick Cross's three interceptions, which effectively stifled any momentum Houston attempted to build. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Cross intercepted a pass, setting up another scoring drive that extended Washington's lead to three touchdowns. With Sonny Styles leading the charge with six total tackles, the Commanders' defense consistently pressured Stroud, ensuring a lopsided victory.
