The Detroit Lions dominated the Arizona Cardinals with a commanding 37-3 victory in Week 5 of the 2026 season. With this win, the Lions solidify their position in the playoff race, while the Cardinals struggle to find their footing this season. Jared Goff led the charge for the Lions, throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his quarterback prowess throughout the game. Jahmyr Gibbs contributed significantly on the ground with 78 rushing yards, while Jameson Williams was a key target, racking up 88 receiving yards to keep the chains moving consistently. On the defensive side, the Cardinals had a tough time containing the Lions' offense, and while Will Johnson recorded a team-high nine tackles, it wasn't enough to shift the momentum. The turning point came early in the second half when the Lions scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively sealing the game and leaving the Cardinals with little chance to mount a comeback.
