In a decisive Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season, the Cincinnati Bengals triumphed over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a final score of 41-25. Both teams came into the game looking to establish their identity early in the season, but it was the Bengals who seized the momentum and never looked back. Baker Mayfield had a standout performance for the Buccaneers, throwing for 345 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense. Chris Godwin Jr. emerged as his favorite target, racking up 133 receiving yards, while Chase Brown led the ground game for the Bengals with 92 rushing yards, helping Cincinnati maintain a balanced attack throughout the contest. Defensively, Trevon Diggs was a force for the Bengals, contributing nine total tackles and securing an interception that proved crucial in turning the tide of the game.
