In an explosive season opener, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 41-24, kicking off the 2026 season with a strong statement. Both teams came into the game eager to assert their dominance, but it was the Seahawks who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower to start the year on a high note. Jalen Milroe was the standout performer for Seattle, throwing for an impressive 338 yards and five touchdowns, demonstrating both precision and poise in the pocket. His ability to connect with receivers downfield opened up the game, while the Seahawks' balanced attack kept the Patriots' defense guessing. While TreVeyon Henderson led the Patriots on the ground with 60 rushing yards, it was Seattle’s aerial assault that ultimately stole the show. On the defensive side, the Seahawks applied consistent pressure, with Kayvon Thibodeaux recording 1.5 sacks to disrupt New England's offensive rhythm. Although the Patriots managed to force a turnover with an interception from Robert Spillane, it was Seattle’s ability to limit big plays and capitalize on their offensive opportunities that proved decisive. The turning point came midway through the third quarter when Milroe connected with a deep touchdown pass, giving the Seahawks a commanding lead that the Patriots could not overcome.
