In a commanding performance, the Washington Commanders topped the Los Angeles Rams with a decisive final score of 34 to 6 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. This victory solidifies the Commanders' position in the playoff hunt, putting them one step closer to securing a postseason berth. Jayden Daniels led the offensive charge for Washington, throwing for two touchdowns while orchestrating a balanced attack that kept the Rams' defense guessing. On the ground, Jacory Croskey-Merritt contributed significantly with 61 rushing yards, complementing the aerial assault. Despite the Rams' struggles, Matthew Stafford threw for 286 yards, finding Davante Adams for 105 of those yards, but the offense couldn't convert on crucial drives. Defensively, the Commanders were relentless, with K'Lavon Chaisson registering a key sack that disrupted Stafford's rhythm and forced critical turnovers. Trey Amos's interception marked a turning point in the game, halting a potential Rams scoring drive and allowing Washington to extend their lead. With Kamren Kinchens leading the Rams' defense with seven total tackles, it was clear that the Commanders' offensive firepower and defensive tenacity were the deciding factors in this lopsided matchup.
