The Cincinnati Bengals secured a thrilling 31-24 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9 of the 2026 season, keeping their playoff hopes alive in a tightly contested matchup. Both teams fought hard, but it was the Bengals who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess and resilience. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow delivered a stellar performance, throwing for 230 yards and two touchdowns, while rookie running back Chase Brown dominated on the ground with 111 rushing yards, consistently finding holes in the Falcons' defense. On the other side, Falcons quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. led the passing game with 255 yards but couldn't quite keep pace with Burrow's efficiency. Atlanta's Kyle Pitts Sr. shined as well, racking up 108 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to swing the game in their favor. Defensively, Demetrius Knight Jr. was a force for the Bengals, leading the team with eight total tackles and registering a critical sack that disrupted the Falcons' momentum. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Knight's sack set up a crucial third down, forcing an incompletion that allowed Cincinnati to maintain their lead. Overall, the Bengals' defense made timely plays, helping secure the narrow win and solidify their standing in the league.
