In a decisive matchup in Week 5 of the 2026 season, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Seattle Seahawks with a final score of 37-14. This victory solidifies the 49ers' position as a formidable force in the league, while the Seahawks will need to regroup after a disappointing performance at home. On the offensive side, Sam Darnold led the Seahawks with 230 passing yards and two touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to move the ball through the air. However, it was Christian McCaffrey who shined for the 49ers, rushing for 91 yards and contributing to a balanced San Francisco attack. The 49ers' offensive cohesion proved too much for the Seahawks' defense to handle, allowing them to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Defensively, Romello Height was a standout for San Francisco, recording four total tackles and an impressive three sacks, which disrupted Seattle's rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Height's pressure on Darnold led to a critical turnover, allowing the 49ers to extend their lead and seize momentum. Upton Stout's interception further sealed the deal for San Francisco, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball.
