In a commanding season opener, the Buffalo Bills topped the Houston Texans 42-14, showcasing their dominance and setting a strong tone for the 2026 season. With high expectations on both sides, the Bills capitalized on their offensive firepower and defensive prowess to secure a convincing victory. Quarterback Josh Allen led the charge for Buffalo, throwing for four touchdowns and demonstrating his elite playmaking ability. DJ Moore was a standout in the receiving game, racking up 103 receiving yards, while the Texans' C.J. Stroud managed 261 passing yards but struggled to find the end zone. David Montgomery added 61 rushing yards for Houston, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Bills' explosive offense. Defensively, the Bills were relentless, with Cole Bishop not only leading the team in tackles with six but also snagging an interception that shifted momentum in Buffalo's favor. The game's turning point came when Bishop's interception set up Allen for a quick touchdown, extending the lead and putting the Texans in a deep hole. Ed Oliver added a sack, further pressuring Stroud and limiting Houston's effectiveness throughout the contest.
