In a thrilling Week 16 matchup, the Washington Commanders narrowly defeated the DC DC Talons 24-21, keeping their playoff hopes alive. The stakes were high as both teams fought for positioning in the postseason, making every play crucial in this tightly contested battle. C.J. Stroud led the Talons' offense with a standout performance, throwing for 216 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to find the end zone under pressure. De'Von Achane contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 76 yards, while Tank Dell was a reliable target, racking up 74 receiving yards. However, it wasn't enough to secure the victory for DC. The Commanders' defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with Michael Carter II leading the tackle count with four. Juan Thornhill's crucial sack and Mike Jackson's interception added pressure on Stroud, making it difficult for the Talons to capitalize on their offensive momentum. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Jackson's pick set up a touchdown that ultimately sealed the win for Washington.
