In a decisive Week 12 matchup, the New York Jets topped the Miami Dolphins with a final score of 31-16, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season reaches its critical juncture. The Jets showcased their offensive prowess and delivered a performance that put them firmly in control of the game. Patrick Mahomes was the star for New York, throwing for 371 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Jets' high-octane offense. Trey Palmer was a standout receiver, racking up 115 yards and making key catches to keep drives alive. Meanwhile, Mike Washington Jr. led the Dolphins’ ground attack with 77 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Jets' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Jets were solid, with A.J. Haulcy leading the way with four total tackles. The turning point came in the second half when the Jets' defense stifled a Dolphins drive, forcing a turnover on downs that allowed New York to extend their lead. With Devonte Wyatt contributing two sacks for Miami, the Dolphins struggled to maintain momentum, ultimately falling short as the Jets' defense held firm when it mattered most.
