The Washington Commanders secured a commanding 27-6 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The matchup was crucial for both teams, with the Commanders looking to build momentum and the Colts desperate to turn their season around. Baker Mayfield delivered an impressive performance, throwing for 239 yards and two touchdowns while also adding 54 rushing yards to his stat line. His dual-threat capability kept the Colts' defense on its heels, and his connection with Travis Kelce, who recorded 84 receiving yards, proved to be a game-changer for the Commanders' offense. Defensively, the Commanders put the clamps on the Colts, with Ed Oliver leading the charge with 1.5 sacks, disrupting the pocket throughout the game. The turning point came when Washington's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing Mayfield to capitalize and extend the lead. With T.J. Edwards making eight tackles for the Colts, it was clear that while they fought hard, they simply couldn’t keep pace with the Commanders’ relentless attack.
