The Indianapolis Colts secured a convincing 20-6 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 12 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for crucial wins, the Colts showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, leaving the Saints struggling to keep pace. Quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr led the Colts' offensive charge, throwing for 243 yards and a touchdown while also displaying poise under pressure. Jonathan Taylor was a force in the backfield, racking up 94 rushing yards, and wide receiver Alec Pierce contributed significantly with 82 receiving yards. Together, they formed a potent trio that kept the Saints' defense on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Colts were relentless, with CJ Allen leading the charge with ten total tackles and Laiatu Latu making his presence felt with two sacks. The turning point came in the second quarter when Latu's pressure on the Saints' quarterback led to a critical turnover, allowing the Colts to extend their lead. This defensive stand not only stifled New Orleans' momentum but also set the tone for the remainder of the game, ensuring Indianapolis walked away with the win.
