In a thrilling Week 15 showdown, the Detroit Lions outlasted the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 27-20. The victory keeps the Lions firmly in the playoff hunt, while the Vikings will have to reassess their strategy as the regular season draws to a close. Detroit's offense was propelled by LaNorris Sellers, who threw for one touchdown on the day, while Minnesota's Trinadad Chambliss led all passers with 239 yards. Jordan Mason was a standout on the ground for the Vikings, racking up 91 rushing yards, and Jordan Addison contributed significantly in the passing game with 101 receiving yards, keeping Minnesota competitive throughout the contest. Defensively, the Vikings were led by Blake Cashman, who recorded ten total tackles, and Jalen Redmond, who added two sacks to his season total. However, Detroit's ability to capitalize on key moments proved decisive, particularly in the second half when they made critical stops and maintained their lead. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter, when the Lions' defense held firm, denying the Vikings a late-game drive that could have shifted the outcome.
