In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the New York Giants with a final score of 35-21, solidifying their playoff aspirations. Jayden Daniels was the star of the offensive show for Washington, throwing for three touchdowns and leading a potent attack. Meanwhile, Jacory Croskey-Merritt dominated the ground game, racking up an impressive 163 rushing yards to keep the Giants' defense on its heels. On the other side, Jaxson Dart put up solid numbers for New York, finishing with 294 passing yards and keeping the game competitive. The Commanders' defense played a crucial role in the victory, with Joey Bosa recording two sacks to pressure Dart throughout the game. Kelley Jones led the team with five total tackles, ensuring that the Giants struggled to find a rhythm offensively. A pivotal moment came when Troy Andersen intercepted a pass, halting a potential scoring drive and allowing Washington to maintain control of the game.
