In a decisive Week 18 showdown, the Dallas Cowboys topped the Washington Commanders with a final score of 24-9, solidifying their playoff position as the regular season comes to a close. The game showcased the Cowboys' dominance, as they controlled both sides of the ball throughout the contest. Quarterback Dak Prescott led the charge for Dallas, throwing for 261 yards and a touchdown, while tight end Jake Ferguson emerged as his favorite target, racking up 83 receiving yards. Running back Javonte Williams contributed on the ground with 31 rushing yards, helping to maintain offensive balance and keep the Commanders' defense on their heels. On the defensive front, the Cowboys limited Washington's scoring opportunities, forcing them to settle for field goals. The turning point came in the second quarter when Dallas intercepted a pass, leading to a quick touchdown drive that widened their lead and shifted the momentum firmly in their favor. Despite Sonny Styles’ standout performance with eight tackles for the Commanders, it wasn't enough to change the outcome as the Cowboys secured a comfortable victory.
