In a decisive showdown, the New Orleans Saints topped the Atlanta Falcons 34-10 in Week 17 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff positioning. With this victory, the Saints not only secured a critical win but also showcased their dominance in the division as the regular season draws to a close. Tyler Shough was the standout performer for the Saints, throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns, effectively orchestrating the offense. His connection with Chris Olave was particularly effective, as Olave racked up 99 receiving yards, making key plays that sustained drives and put points on the board. The Saints' ground game also contributed, though it was Shough's arm that ultimately stole the spotlight. Defensively, the Saints were relentless, with Kool-Aid McKinstry leading the charge with 10 total tackles. The turning point came early in the second half when the Saints' defense forced a turnover, allowing Shough to capitalize with a quick touchdown drive that extended their lead. Despite Jalon Walker's impressive 2.5 sacks for the Falcons, they struggled to contain New Orleans' offensive onslaught, ultimately sealing their fate in this lopsided contest.
