In a decisive Week 14 matchup, the Houston Texans topped the Washington Commanders with a commanding score of 28-3, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season winds down. The Texans showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, leaving the Commanders struggling to mount any significant offense. Leading the charge for the Texans was quarterback C.J. Stroud, who threw for 127 yards, while Woody Marks anchored the ground game with an impressive 98 rushing yards. Tank Dell contributed significantly in the passing game, racking up 61 receiving yards to help secure the victory. The Texans' offensive balance proved to be too much for the Commanders to handle throughout the contest. Defensively, Houston's Will Anderson Jr. stood out with two sacks, consistently putting pressure on the Washington quarterback and disrupting their rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Anderson's second sack set up a short field for the Texans, leading to a crucial touchdown that extended their lead to 21-3. With the defense stifling Washington's offense, the Texans cruised to an easy win, showcasing their potential as a playoff contender.
