In a decisive Week 3 matchup of the 2027 season, the Denver Broncos topped the Detroit Lions with a final score of 20-7. With both teams looking to gain momentum early in the season, Denver showcased their offensive prowess while the Lions struggled to keep pace. Bo Nix led the charge for the Broncos, throwing for 154 yards and an impressive three touchdowns. His favorite target, Jaylen Waddle, delivered a standout performance with 98 receiving yards, consistently finding ways to stretch the field and create separation. Jahmyr Gibbs was the lone bright spot for Detroit, rushing for 54 yards but unable to find the end zone. Defensively, the Broncos were relentless, with Brandon Jones making an impact with three total tackles and an interception that shifted the momentum in Denver's favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when Jones picked off a pass that halted a potential Lions scoring drive, allowing the Broncos to capitalize and extend their lead. Aidan Hutchinson managed to apply pressure with half a sack, but it wasn't enough to contain Denver's balanced offensive attack.
