In a Week 6 showdown, the Philadelphia Eagles topped the Washington Commanders 30-21, solidifying their position in the playoff race. Both teams were looking to gain momentum, but it was the Eagles who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower. Jalen Hurts led the charge for Philadelphia, throwing for 287 yards and a touchdown, while also orchestrating a balanced attack. Saquon Barkley added a significant ground presence with 95 rushing yards, and Drake London was a standout in the passing game, racking up 111 receiving yards. Together, they formed a potent trio that kept the Commanders' defense on its heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Eagles made crucial plays, particularly from Nolan Smith Jr., who recorded two sacks, disrupting Washington's offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Hurts connected with London for a pivotal gain, leading to a touchdown that extended Philadelphia's lead. Despite a valiant effort from the Commanders, including Trey Amos's nine tackles and an interception from Nick Cross, they were unable to overcome the Eagles' offensive momentum.
